Our court house:

down memory lane...... :-)

Then I drove 40 mins to Salina to go to get my teeth checked and cleaned at the dentist. Here I was expecting the whole dentist thing to be boring as it normally is but OH BOY was I WRONG! :-)I think God finds great humor in proving me wrong ;-) Haha! The first thing I noticed walking in was that they were playing Christian music! It was refreshing to hear.... I struck up a conversation with the hygienist and some how I ended up saying that God puts trials in our lives for a purpose. She then got REALLY excited and said that she wanted to tell me her life story. Her two children were preemie baby's. Both had everything go wrong in birth and in the surgerys that followed. Her sister in-law came into the hospital's NICU to see her and her newborn son (he was the second preemie) and basically said "Why did God give you such a horrible life? All that you have been handed is horrible!" She turned to her sister in-law and said "God NEVER gives us more trials than we can take at one time. And this is not horrible, this baby is a blessing." I was sitting there listening to her and was in awe... I had goose bumps! And I thought I was going to be BORED??? HA! We went on talking together about how tough experiences grow us in our faith and while at the time we are like "STOP!!!!!!!!!! no more!" He is doing it for a purpose! (think back to Job....) Wow... I could keep going on about this but i am going to stop there in awe and just say that it was a HUGE blessing to talk to her! :-)
From Salina I drove to Clay where I work, I had gotten there early and decided to get on my computer and check a few things... When I did I saw a message from my really good friend saying that she was going to be about 40 mins away giving a talk about Teen Pact at a church with her family! I was like :-O REALLY????????? So I called Mom and Dad and they said it would be fine if I went! So with last minute notice my friend was amazing and decided that we should all go together! :-D We all hopped into the Jeep and headed to Manhattan. I was ecstatic! Picture a 4 yr old on Christmas morning and that was me! On the way there they guys got tired and fell asleep......

We got there and really enjoyed the talks that the Gentzler's and Chase's had prepared! BTW you REALLY should check out Teen Pact if you have not heard about them: http://teenpact.com/ It was amazing to see Sarah and her family... I just wish it had been for longer! On the way home I could not help but grin because I was so happy :-D The Gentzler family is so dear to my heart, and it was a huge blessing to see them and talk to them for a bit! The MAJOR disappointment was that I blanked the second we got there and TOTALLY forgot to take pictures :-P grrrrrr Oh well :/
I know I am behind on blogging but I will try to catch up tomorrow! Any way I think that is all I am going to write for now...... Good night all!
